Founded in 2014, Recovery Oriented Practices is a dedicated provider of behavioral health services for individuals and families across North and South Carolina. Our mission is to empower every client’s journey toward wellness, offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to diverse needs.
Mission
Ropes is committed to providing education about and treatment of mental health, substance use disorder, and behavioral health services. Ropes is committed to education and treatment designed to address person centered barriers to recovery and wellness. Ropes is committed to providing culturally competent care and quality mental health and substance abuse services that can help the client identify and address barriers to recovery. By using an integrated evidence-based approach, our committed and compassionate team of clinicians delivers an exceptional level of care to our beneficiaries and enhance human dignity and wellness. By educating our client we empower them to create a healthy environment that garners mutual respect, integrity, individuality, and collective recognition, as well as personal growth.
Meet The Director
Kenneth Simmons, CADC, is a Certified Addiction Drug Counselor and the Executive Director of Recovery Oriented Practices (ROPES), a CARF-accredited organization serving North and South Carolina since 2014. Kenneth oversees a range of behavioral health programs, including group homes, peer support, and substance abuse treatment, and has dedicated his career to supporting children and adults in diverse settings since 2007. His commitment extends beyond clinical practice—Kenneth also leads philanthropic efforts, such as providing clothing to children in need. Renowned for his innovative and compassionate leadership, Kenneth believes that empowering individuals through evidence-based care strengthens entire communities. His approach fosters hope and recovery for those affected by addiction and mental health challenges, emphasizing that dedicated, compassionate support can create lasting, positive changes for clients and their communities.
Vision Statement
It is the vision of Ropes to promote education of and recovery from mental illness and substance use disorder in order to improve daily living, school, and community and life expectancy outcomes. Ropes works in collaboration with other community providers, families, schools, courts, law enforcement, and employers in order to help clients become educated in how to manage mental health and substance use disorder symptoms and fully integrate into the community.
